|A Railway Collision|
This year in summer vacation, I was going to Delhi by train with my cider brother. We purchased the tickets and reached the platform. Soon the train arrived and we got into it easily. The guard whistled and the train started.
Time and place and how it happened :
At about 9 o'clock near Modinagar, I felt a great jerk. There was a great outcry in my compartment. My elder brother who was sleeping struck against the window and received a minor head injury. I too began to cry. A box fell on a child. He died then and there. A number of passengers were crying loudly. After some time we came to know that our train had collided with a goods train. The engine of our train was damaged.
Scene of an accident :
The scene was really very pathetic. Some of the passengers were seriously injured. They were taken to Shahadara government hospital. A team of doctors and nurses reached there. They tried their best to provide first aid to the injured passengers. I canceled my program and decided to return home. My elder brother was too much terrified. we gave up the idea of going to Delhi.
When we returned home, our parents were surprised to see us back home. We narrated them the whole story. They took a sigh of relief on our returning home safe. It was really an unhappy event of my life. I can never forget it.

Last month a bus was carrying a marriage party. I was also with it. The bus was fully packed. The music inside the bus was on. The bus driver was young. He continued increasing the speed. The older people requested the driver to drive slowly. But the younger ones were enjoying the high speed.
In the meantime, I saw another bus coming from the opposite side. It also was carrying another marriage party. It was also at high speed. Our bus driver steered the bus to the left. The other bus passed safely on its left side. But our bus dashed against a huge tree on the roadside.
At once every one of us got a jolt. There were a great hue and cry inside the bus. Three members of the party were seriously injured. Luckily the bridegroom remained unhurt. Many of the people received bruises and bleeding injuries. They were taken to a hospital in a truck.
Our bus was badly damaged. So another bus was brought from a nearby town. The marriage party reached the bride's house five hours late. However, the marriage was performed in a tense atmosphere.
