Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of free India. He was a true follower of Mahatma Gandhi. He followed the path of truth and non-violence. He was the maker of India's destiny.
Birth and parentage :
He was born on 14th November 1889 at Allahabad. His father Motilal Nehru was a leading advocate of his time. His mother was a noble lady.
Early life and education :
He was a worthy son of a worthy father. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He received his primary education at home. His father sent him to England for higher education. From (here he returned as a barrister.
Political career :
He practiced as a lawyer at the Allahabad High Court. After some time he joined the struggle for freedom started by Gandhiji. He gave up practice and joined the Congress. He went to jail several times. Thus he suffered a lot for India.
Services to the nation as Prime Minister :
India became independent on 15th August 1947. He became the first Prime Minister. He solved many problems in the country. He made India a strong and powerful country in the world.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a great writer and orator. He was a lover of peace. We can never forget his services.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was a great patriot and lover of peace he was known as the father of the nation he practiced truth in life he taught us to love all people irrespective of caste, color, and creed. He made our country free from British people.
Early life and education :
He was born on 2nd October 1869 at Porbander in Gujarat. His father Karamchand Gandhi was the Diwan of Rajkot. His mother was a noble and pious lady. At the age of seven, he was sent to school. Gandhiji was an ordinary student. After passing matriculation he went to England for higher studies. From there he returned to India as a barrister and started practice at the Mumbai High Court.
His political career:
After some time he joined the Congress party. He took a keen interest in the struggle for the freedom of India. He started the Non-cooperation Movement in 1920. He %%tilt to jail several times. He fought against the British rule in India with the weapon of truth and non-violence. Under his leadership, India became free on 15th August 1947.
On 30th January 1948, a man named Nathuram Godse shot him dead. That time he was going for his daily prayers in Birla house Delhi. On his death, the whole world burst into tears. His name +will ever be remembered with great respect. We can never forget his services.
